It has been a fabulous year getting to know this Murray family!  Emerson was the first newborn I ever photographed and I'm so grateful that Maggie and Andrew trusted me with this special, important moments. 

I looooove how minimalist, summery, and adorable this session is.  Shooting in the summer in Kentucky can be absolutely brutal with the heat so being able to shoot in my house in the air conditioning was perfect.  It's a small-ish space so it will probably only work for individuals and kiddos but it's freshly painted a bright clean white and I'm excited to use it a little more as both an office and an occasional studio.  

I love a good cake smash session for a first birthday but I also love not doing the same thing everyone else is doing.  :)  Watermelon smashes for life - perfectly sweet and summery for this August baby.
