qapa picture day 2021
NEWS!
COVID-19 really threw our plans out the window but the new plan is this: on the day your dancer comes to the studio to perform their recital dance and be videoed, Miss Aimee will also photograph them in their recital costume. Then, she’ll pass the images along to me (Robyn Pizzo - hi!) for editing and delivery.
What to expect on picture day
Dancers should arrive to the studio dressed in costume with their hair and makeup done, ready to perform their recital dance and be photographed.
Miss Aimee and Miss Quincy will practice posing each dancer in the main dance studio, where caregivers will also wait. Photos will be shot in the back dance studio.
How you’ll get your images
Within three weeks of picture day, you'll receive a digital gallery of images to choose from sent to your email. The photography sitting fee has already been covered by your recital fees! Yay!
Images in the gallery will be watermarked. You choose your favorites to be downloaded instantly or printed and mailed to your home. Once you've purchased, the watermark will be removed.

Why picture day?
Picture day can be busy and a bit chaotic but it's also really fun for your dancers to get all dressed up in their recital costumes and be professionally photographed. It lets you enjoy the recital day by not worrying too much about getting perfect photos.
Here are a few ideas for what to do with your picture day images:
Compare your images from year to year to see how much your dancer has grown!
Print and send to friends and family members who can't attend recital
Frame and hang up in their space so they can be reminded of their hard work. You could even use the frame to collect their dance class stickers!
About the photographer
For safety reasons, Miss Aimee will be taking the studio photos on the day of your child’s recital video recording. She’ll give me the memory card for editing, digital delivery, and prints.
In addition to my Murray, KY based photography business, I'm also a QAPA dance mom and I've been taking Miss Quincy's adult hip hop class on Mondays.
I've previously worked with QAPA as a photographer at the 2019 Harlem Globetrotter's performance and for a special dance photo shoot at the Discovery Park to celebrate this year’s recital theme of Night at the Museum.
I’m so excited to work with Miss Aimee to photograph your dancers!
