ICYMI I’ve left my day job to pursue photography full time! This transition and my business expanding has meant that I’m working a lot of nights and weekends now and have fewer weekend date nights available than I used to. I wanted a way to still feel connected to David and to spend quality time together, so we decided to do more dates on weekdays. He’s a professor with a somewhat flexible schedule and Hazel’s in a full time preschool so daytime dates are perfect.

I crowd-sourced for ideas and WOW you guys really came through! I compiled everyone’s responses and added a few ideas of my own in the list below. I hope it inspires some romance for you and your partner!

Date ideas for busy couples

• Art museum

• Coffee or tea

• New restaurant

• Arcade

• Bowling

• Take an art class

• Air hockey and skee-ball

• Ice cream in the park

• Get day drunk and go to the movies

• Make cupcakes together

• Pretend like you’ve never met, go shopping, and send flirtatious looks from across the aisle

• Write love notes to each other and pass them across the table at a restaurant

• Make a fancy ass charcuterie plate and have a picnic

• Go to the animal shelter and hug kittens

• Draw shitty portraits of each other
