Lucas's bubbly, glittery second birthday
I may have to start scheduling summer sessions at 6 AM because we waited until nearly sunset for these family photos and it was still 95 degrees. Lucas, Alethea and their parents Shavonne and Aaron (fellow History department faculty member) were troopers, though, and I think we got some really cute stuff!
I was really nervous leading up to the shoot because I knew Shavonne had a lot of ideas and I wasn't sure I could live up to all of them. I was scared about the bubbles and glitter especially because I had never shot anything like that and I wanted to make sure they turned out well. I did a lot of research and from what I found, the trick is fast shutter speeds (always the trick when shooting kids anyway) and continuous bursts.
The glitter got literally everywhere and was stuck to me for days but those are my absolute favorites and I would definitely do that again!
