Rachel + Mike | Destin, Florida Beach Wedding
Okay, this wedding settles it. I’m declaring myself a beach-wedding-only photographer from here on out. :) Why aren’t there more beaches close to Kentucky?
I was so honored and grateful that Mike and Rachel invited me to come to Florida to photograph their destination wedding. Their closest friends and family headed to the beach in the last week of October to help them celebrate and despite rain in the forecast and a last-minute change of venues, it ended up being an absolutely perfect day. I was happy for the chance to recharge by the water after my busiest photography month ever and for a change of scenery. This was my first beach wedding but I would absolutely love to do more.
Rachel and Mike are such kind and caring people. They brought me food to my hotel when I was recovering from a stomach bug and did everything they could to make sure their family and guests had a great time at their wedding and in the days before and after. They planned a beach location for the ceremony but ended up using the yard of their rental house which could not have been more lovely - it was quiet and intimate, featuring an arch that Mike created for the day. We went down to the water before and after the ceremony and were able to catch the most beautiful sunset right after they became husband and wife.
