Who doesn't love fall? Honestly, I want to hate it because it's so popular and I typically don't like to be the same as everyone else but something about the pumpkin patches, leaves, slightly cooler temperatures (where are you 60s and 70s?), Halloween, Homecoming, etc. etc. and I get all happy.

I've shot photos of Hazel there before but I haven't had a family agree to go out there with me yet even though I've floated it more than once. Enter Tracy, the matriarch of this group of guys, who said "I'm open to anything you think would work well." Thanks for trusting me, Tracy!

Not pictured here but included in their gallery were photos with two number 6 mylar balloons that the kids loved. We started at their home (I always love that because it's so personal and important to the family) and then headed downtown for some more of my "gritty but pretty" family photos. I'm so grateful for clients who trust me to find them good locations!
Enjoy the photos of this adorable Murray, KY family!

Get down on their level.
Occasionally I like to shoot from high above to get a "parent's eye view" but more often than not, I am down on the ground crouching and crawling and doing whatever contortion it takes to get my camera at their eye level.
My favorite sessions are adorable families in unique places. How better to practice than on my own adorable family in the grittiest place we could think of? :) I love my two goofballs.
